Out for a walk on a moody autumn evening.
There’s a chill in the air. Clouds scud overhead, yet the street lies still and quiet, as if holding its breath in apprehension of colder, darker nights to come.
Families are putting out their Hallowe’en decorations, ready for the night when they can lure little ghosts and goblins and all manner of mischievous monsters to their doorsteps.
Few people venture out on these cooler evenings. Too bad. They miss the splendid sunsets that only autumn can bring.
